WARRANTY POLICY

At EKAVIS, we stand behind the quality and reliability of our fire detection and emergency lighting systems. Our comprehensive warranty policy ensures that our customers receive dependable support and service throughout the product lifecycle.

1. Warranty

1.1. Warranty Period and Coverage

Unless otherwise agreed in writing by the Parties, EKAVIS warrants to the Buyer that the supplied goods and systems ("Supplies") shall be free from defects in design, material and workmanship ("Defects") under normal use for a maximum period of twelve (12) months ("Warranty Period") from the date of invoice. During this period, and subject to these Terms, EKAVIS shall remedy any material Defect resulting from faulty design, defective components or improper workmanship that impairs the functioning of the Supplies. No claims shall arise from minor deviations, insignificant impairments of usability or non reproducible software errors.

1.2. Warranty Exclusions

This limited Warranty shall not apply to any Supplies or component thereof which:

1.2.1. has been repaired, modified or altered outside EKAVIS facilities in a manner that, in EKAVIS' sole judgment, affects performance or serviceability;
1.2.2. has been subjected to misuse, negligence, accident, improper handling, abuse or abnormal wear;
1.2.3. has been installed, operated or maintained in contradiction to EKAVIS installation manuals, instructions or guidelines;
1.2.4. has been exposed to abnormal physical, electrical or environmental stress, including improper power supply, corrosive environments or unsuitable operating conditions.

1.3. Limitation of Liability

EKAVIS shall not be liable for damage caused by third party actions, transport damage, atmospheric discharges, voltage surges, chemical exposure or external influences beyond EKAVIS' control. The Warranty does not cover parts subject to normal wear and tear. No warranty is provided for used or refurbished Supplies. For Supplies manufactured based on Buyer-provided drawings, data or specifications, EKAVIS' Warranty is limited to conformity with approved specifications.

1.4. Warranty Remedy

EKAVIS' exclusive obligation and the Buyer's sole remedy under this Warranty shall be, at EKAVIS' discretion, to repair or replace the defective Supplies or defective components free of charge, provided the Defect is confirmed by EKAVIS.

1.5. Disclaimer of Other Warranties

Except for the express Warranty stated herein, EKAVIS makes no other warranties, whether express, implied, statutory or otherwise, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, satisfactory quality or non infringement.

1.6. Additional Expenses

The Buyer shall have no claim for expenses incurred during supplementary performance, including costs of travel, transport, labour or material, where such expenses increase because the Supplies were moved from the original delivery location to another site.

1.7. Product Specifications and Modifications

All drawings, specifications, brochures, catalogues, illustrations or marketing material provided by EKAVIS are intended solely as general descriptions and shall not form part of this Warranty. EKAVIS reserves the right to modify the design, specifications or materials of the Supplies to meet applicable safety standards or statutory requirements, provided such changes do not materially affect performance.

1.8. Scope of Claims

The Buyer shall only have claims relating to damage arising from Defects within the limits and conditions expressly defined in this Warranty section.
